Appointment Options

Long Appointment

1. We set up an appointment for you both to come in

2. I send out my Mediation retainer agreement and list of consulting attorneys and you will download the Introductory Packets from my web site.;

3. The first appointment is a two hour time block (as are all my appointments). I spend the first 30 to 45 minutes going over the Mediation process and how I work, describing my style and philosophy and giving the two of you the opportunity to ask me questions so you can decide if you are comfortable with me and the mediation process.

4. If you are comfortable, we will all sign the Agreement to Mediate, you would pay my retainer (I can also discuss alternate payment plans if needed) which I put in the client trust account and bill against, and we begin the Mediation process right then.

5. If, on the other hand, you are not ready to enter Mediation at that time, I ask that you pay $190.00 for the time I spend with you that day as well as the time I spent putting your packets together and there is no further obligation to stay the remainder of the time or to hire me. You may also choose to think about it and get back to me which is also OK, but I still charge the $190.00 for the time I spend. If you hire me, I will credit back the $190 on your first billing statement.
